Please avoid this place if your coming to New York.Club Quarters Grand Central strives to meet the needs of its guests with disabilities. The food is disgusting and majorly overpriced. The fact that this is a 4 star hotel is laughable. I would go as far as saying this hotel ruined our first trip to New York. On checkout when mentioned the issues we had, they showed no mercy, no signs of compassion or consideration. When we arrived into our room we received no information booklet regarding the hotel which was meant to be placed on the desk. How are guests suppose to know that ? Extremely unprofessional and rude staff. When mentioned on checkout, a rude Irish blonde lady (yes irish, sad to say) butted in on my conversation with another lady who proceeded to shout ‘they are available on request’. Do not expect to receive these as they were nowhere to be found in the room. On our booking it said we should have received ‘bathrobes’.

You could barely see out the windows they were so dirty and disgusting. Our headboard was also covered in dust, the cleanliness standards in this hotel are next to none. To make matters worse, our air con would just randomly shut off, leaving the room stuffy and warm. Our air con system, which was extremely loud by the way, had dust all over and under it (please see photos attached) absolutely disgusting. The room was old fashioned and small, which I don’t mind but it was filthy. After travelling all the way from Ireland to stay in an Irish hotel, the room we were placed in was extremely noisey as there is a rubbish disposal across the road. My partner and I stayed 6 nights in room 308, god bless whoever is going there next. We will be back! …Īfter being recommended this hotel from my parents who come yearly, I was thoroughly disappointed with my stay. So thank you Fitzpatrick’s staff, especially the receptionist Ali. Every member of staff were fabulous and they certainly made our trip more enjoyable. Since covid, we have found that most hotels/restaurants we have been to, have unfortunately not been able to get proper staff but that was not the case in Fitzpatrick’s - in fact it was the complete opposite. The concierge team, Garfield & Mike, were fantastic at recommending places for us to try.
I had it each time I went back, it was that good! The manager in the restaurant, Nadia, was extremely friendly and lovely. There must have been a secret ingredient, it was AMAZING. The food was DELICIOUS! I had the smoked salmon and cream cheese on a bagel - but this was different from any one I’ve had before. Tickets cost 1 and the journey takes 5 min. Alternatively, Suburban Transit operates a bus from Bryant Park to W 42 St/7 Av 5 times a week. Tickets cost 1 - 3 and the journey takes 3 min. We ate breakfast a few times in the hotel. MTA operates a vehicle from Grand Central-42 St to Times Sq-42 St every 5 minutes. We had no problem with street noise at any time. The beds were very comfortable and the bed sheets were fab. During our stay, anytime we passed reception we got a friendly wave and smile from her.

A receptionist called Ali checked us in and was so professional and friendly. The staff were fantastic in all areas of the hotel. From the moment we arrived to the hotel, we were greeted by warm welcomes. The location was fantastic for us as being beside Grand Central Station meant exploring the city was so easy. Staying at Fitzpatrick’s Grand Central was the perfect choice.
